Kristin Fisher joined CNN on July 20, 2021 as Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent, she covers everything from NASA and the recently created Space Force, to commercial space firms and the emergence to space tourism. Kristin, mother of NASA astronauts, and also a space enthusiast, grew up immersed in the field. She spent five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Biden and Trump Administrations. In that time she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, two impeachment trial as well as two initiatives to end the corona virus pandemic, as well as two different administrations' initiatives. Kristin was on the road extensively, including both the vice president and president. She was even on a secret trip to Afghanistan alongside Donald Trump. Kristin was a fixture in the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for nearly a decade before becoming a part of the network. She won the Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as an CBS station's reporter who was a one-man band. Kristin started Field Mouse Films with her skills behind the camera back in the year 2014. The company specialized in producing documentaries for corporate clients including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism which she obtained at Boston University. She is currently living in Washington, D.C., with her family, including their 3-year-old daughter.
